Nadine Smeding hanging a round bespoke wooden artwork above a sofa
Bespoke art

Designed for your space.

Bespoke work in solid wood, designed in close consultation.

Some rooms ask for a work that would fit nowhere else. A diptych in exact proportion for the space above the sofa. A sculptural piece that follows the curve of a stairway. A statement work in its own wood and finish, attuned to the architecture and the existing materials.

Every bespoke commission at Wonder by Wood is a personal process in which vision, space and material come together in a single unique work.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a bespoke commission take?

On average six to twelve weeks from design approval. More complex works or larger installations up to four months.

What is the price range for bespoke work?

Bespoke work is priced per project, depending on dimensions, wood, complexity and lead time. A first indication follows after the briefing conversation.

Is a sketch made before approval?

Yes. Before approval you receive a handmade or digital sketch, often with material samples of the proposed woods.

Can I give input during the making process?

Yes. For those who want to be involved, an atelier visit during production is always possible. Many clients find this one of the most special parts of the process.

Is a bespoke piece an investment?

Fully bespoke works often hold a higher collector status than series, because they are unique. The combination of craftsmanship, material and specific context gives them lasting value.
