The individual building blocks for Foss Cascade. Each object is fitted with reinforced connecting magnets on the top and bottom — clicks without searching, holds without sagging. Here you choose the wood type and finish per shape, and assemble what you won’t find in a standard Cascade set.
When to choose this
Extend a line. A standard Cascade line holds five objects. Want six, seven, or an asymmetric installation where the first line is long and the next is short? Add individually.
Mix design languages. Foss-classic at the top (Dropi + Steinn), Kristall at the bottom (hexagon + Carré). Or a Sólar in the middle of a Foss-classic line. You write the score.
A Sólar as a turning point. One golden accent that sharpens the line. Or several, as recurring moments of light.
Five shapes to choose from
Dropi — the drop, 22 × 15 cm. The soft, flowing form that gave the Foss family its signature.
Steinn — the square, 16 × 16 cm. The resting point beside the drop; where the eye takes a breath.
Kristall — the hexagon, 22 cm diameter. More angular and geometric; the hero shape of the Kristall-Cascade, closer to sculpture than decoration.
Carré — a compact square, 8 × 8 cm — deliberately more than three times smaller than a Kristall. The brief, sharp pause between two hexagons.
Sólar — a Dropi (22 × 15 cm) hand-laid in 24-carat gold leaf, sheet by sheet, finished in the studio. A single point of light among the wood — deployable in any composition as the place where light must linger.
Per object, you choose
Shape: Dropi, Steinn, Kristall, Carré, or Sólar.
Wood type: Walnut or Oak (also the base for Sólar — only the back remains visible wood, the surface is entirely gold leaf).
Finish: Natural or (for Sólar) Gold leaf.
Please note: these individual shapes have magnets on both top and bottom and are intended for vertical Cascade lines. For horizontal wall compositions (Starter Set style), choose the objects with back magnets from Foss Extension.
Starting a new line?
Every new Cascade line requires one Cascade hanging system (Champagne Brass or Chrome, wall or ceiling). When ordering a Foss Cascade, the hanging kit per line is already included — only for self-built lines from individual parts do you order the hanging system separately.
Magnetic system — click and compose
Every Cascade shape has reinforced magnets on the top and bottom. Clicks effortlessly, holds without hesitation. After hanging, you can still rotate each object — a fraction more, a fraction less — until the line sits exactly as you imagined. Suitable for lines of up to six objects.
