CNC crash course

Half a day alongside the machine, with two participants at most and tuned entirely to your question.

€ 450 per person

You receive the date within five working days.

Also available with the gift card. Or see all workshops.

What you learn

We start with what you want to achieve. Does your question lie mainly with the software, or with the machine? We tune the half day to that, so your time goes to the things that really move you forward.

On the software side you work in Vectric Aspire: from vector to 3D relief, working with STL files, and how sound toolpaths come out of that. On the machine side you stand at my CNC-STEP High-Z with KinetiC-NC: clamping, choosing bits, setting the zero point, settings and safety. You go home with insight, my settings and a checklist to continue on your own.

Everything that is included

How your half day unfolds

One

Your question

We start with your project and your machine. That tells me where the gain is for you.

Two

In the software

From drawing to 3D relief and toolpath in Vectric Aspire, with your own laptop beside you.

Three

At the machine

Clamping, choosing a bit, setting the zero point and milling. After that you know what your settings do.

In the atelier

Frequently asked questions

Who is this crash course for?
For makers, designers and entrepreneurs who want to understand how a CNC really works, from the first vector to the final toolpath.
Do I need to own Vectric Aspire?
It helps, because then we continue on your own laptop. Watching along on my setup works as well.
May I stand at the machine myself?
Yes. You clamp the material, set the zero point and start the path, with me beside you.
Can we come as a pair?
That is exactly the maximum. Two participants keeps it calm and personal.
When do I hear the date?
Within five working days of your booking you receive the date and the address by email. Your preference is taken into account.
