About this work

Where land, water and horizon meet.

Coastal Lines follows the long, straight coastlines of the Netherlands. The place where land becomes water, and water becomes sky. One horizon, endlessly repeated.

The rhythm of ebb and flow lives in every line. Clean, graphic, calm. And thanks to the depth of the wood, never entirely still. Light travels across the layered structure and the whole composition breathes with the day.

Every line is sawn and laid by hand. Handwork through and through, from the first sketch to the final layer.

Coastal Lines is released in an edition of twenty-five. Each piece is numbered, signed and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
