About this work

The rhythm of the tide, in wood.

With Drift & Tide I wanted to hold the endless motion of ebb and flow in a circular form. Waves that flow into one another, without beginning or end. In light oak the work takes on a soft, sunlit character: the same tide, in a very different light.

Layers catch the light. Early in the day the shadows fall differently than towards evening. The round form lets the room breathe; the frequency shifts, and you can feel it.

Wood carries energy. A story. A reflection of the people who live with it.

Available in oak, walnut, beech or mahogany. Each work is made by hand and to order, and comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
