About this work

One line as a signature. Several as an installation.

Foss Cascade takes the visual language of Foss and sets it in motion. From a single mounting point, a line of five objects rolls downward, held by reinforced magnets, form after form in a rhythm of its own. One plug, one screw. Gravity does the rest.

One line measures around 104 cm. Enough for most vertical moments: beside a door, above a side table, in a stairwell that has been asking for attention. Want to go bigger? Four lines together measure 104 × 67 cm, five lines 104 × 87 cm. Choose a number, and the wall changes character.

For the ceiling there is a reinforced system with a finished ceiling mount in the same finish: for lines that hang freely in the room, in a corner, in front of a window or above a kitchen island. That is where Cascade truly comes alive.

The mounting ring above each line is the only piece of hardware that remains visible. So it was made beautiful on purpose: brushed metal in Champagne Brass or Chrome.

Two visual languages

Choose your register.

Foss classic. The droplet (Dropi, 22 × 15 cm) and the square (Steinn, 16 × 16 cm) in a rhythmic play downward: three droplets and two squares per line, stacked in alternation. Soft shoulders, organic movement. The signature of the Foss family, set vertically.

Kristall. Three large hexagons (Kristall, 22 cm across) alternating with two compact squares (Carré, 8 × 8 cm), as if crystals were strung along an invisible thread. The Carré is deliberately over three times smaller: it acts as a breathing mark between two hexagons. More angular, sharper, closer to sculpture.

Want the line to sing? Add a Foss Sólar: a Dropi gilded by hand in 24-carat gold leaf, finished sheet by sheet in the atelier. One place where the light lingers, one golden accent that sharpens the entire line.
